Many a fine tune played on old Chobham bells
Two things you may not have known about the bells of Chobham Handbell Ringers. They were forged in the same foundry as Big Ben and they are now 106 years old.
Chobham Festival 2014
This years Chobham Music Festival begins on Saturday the 27th September with the popular Sussex Jazz Kings who are making a keenly sought after return to Chobham's Village Hall for a colourful evening of traditional jazz - ideal for both dancing and listening.
The third ChobLit lunch will take place on Wednesday 1st October and welcomes Evie Wyld, one of Britain's most feted young authors.
Following the success of Planet Abba at last year's festival, the Chobham Club will host the Shadows of Motown on Thursday 2nd October.
Last year's festival saw a rousing performance of the Hallelujah Chorus at the Songs of Praise concert. This year the Festival will repeat this, plus the opening chorus from Handel's Messiah (and the Glory of the Lord). If you feel you need some practice, rehearsals will be on the 21st and 28th August, 25th Sept and 1st October at 7.15pm. As well as a half hour rung through prior to the Songs of Praise concert at 4.45pm on Sunday 5th October.

A Christmas Concert – 4 Girls 4 Harps
Once again St Lawrence Church is delighted to be welcoming back to Chobham the 4 Girls 4 Harps Quartet.
St Lawrence in Bloom this September
On Sunday the 22nd of September, this year's Chobham Flower Festival will begin with the Festival Eucharist in St Lawrence church. The service starts at 10am and will include a special guess preacher.
St. Lawrence Bi-Centenary Ball
Celebrating 200 years of St. Lawrence Primary School, the school is hosting a ball in the school hall from 7:30pm - 11:30pm on 15th June.
Brass and steel
"A Concert for Ellie" will be a wonderful and varied evening of music to raise money for Helen House Hospice for Children when Chobham St Lawrence Handbells meet the Pandemonium Steel Band.
The concert is at St Lawrence Church on Saturday 29th June at 7.30pm.

Helen House
Helen House hospice the first hospice in the country to offer care specifically for children and young people. As well as raising funds for the hospice, this concert is in memory of Ellie who spent her last few weeks in Helen House Hospice in Oxford.

The St Lawrence Chobham Handbell ringers were up early this morning (18 December 2012), performing live on Radio 2's The Chris Evan's Breakfast Show. If you missed their festive performance, you can catch up online until Christmas Day.
It’s over for another year... so it’s time to think about 2013
Chobham Festival took a final bow for another year with the Schools’ Prom at a packed St Lawrence Church.
But planning has started for next year, the 20th anniversary and one of the years in three when the music and other events are combined with a flower festival.
