St Lawrence in Bloom this September

On Sunday the 22nd of September, this year's Chobham Flower Festival will begin with the Festival Eucharist in St Lawrence church. The service starts at 10am and will include a special guess preacher.

Over the weekend of Friday 27th through to Sunday 29th September St Lawrence church and the church hall will be filled with magnificent displays of flowers, created by members of the many Chobham Village clubs, societies, schools and local churches, as well as the St. Lawrence regular flower arrangers. Any funds raised over this weekend will go towards the church's needs, so please come and enjoy the flower arrangements.

Flower Festival Opening Times

Friday 27th September: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday 28th September: 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday 29th September: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

During the weekend of the Flower Festival, there will be a Festival Cafe in the church hall. With live entertainment from Sounds Easy and the Chobham Morris Dancers on the Saturday. Check the opening times of the Festival Cafe. aspect of this year’s festival could do with lots of publicity and encouragement. The arrangers will make the church look spectacular, and any funds raised will go to purchasing something the church needs, so the more public we can get through the door on 27th, 28th and 29th September, the better.

As the Chobham Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, there will be a full calendar of music, flowers, art & events for visitors of all ages. Many events are already sold out, but some concert & event tickets are still available, so visit the Chobham Festival website now for more details on how to book.

Hallelujah Chorus

As well as the spectacular flower displays, as part of this year's celebration, everyone is invited to sing the Hallelujah Chorus at the end of Songs of Praise on Sunday 29th September.
