Chobham Annual Parish Meeting 2019

Written by

The Annual Parish Meeting gives local residents the opportunity to hear what its parish councillors, borough councillors and county councillor have been doing over the past year.

You can ask your Parish Chairman, Borough Councillors and County Councillor questions about any aspect of their work, responsibilities and role in local affairs

The theme of the meeting this year focuses on Chobham's environment - HOW GREEN IS OUR CHOBHAM - with two speakers, Philippa Anderson of Keep Britain Tidy and Tim Pashen from Surrey Heath Borough Council.
Philippa, a Chobham resident, is the driving force behind the Chobham Spring Clean next month and she will talk a little about why litter is so harmful to our local environment.

Various areas, including refuse and recycling, are Tim Pashen's responsibilities at the borough council as Executive Head of Community and he will talk about what Surrey Heath has already achieved in making the borough a greener place and what changes we might expect to see in future in order to become a more sustainable community.
