Local charity, Age UK Runnymede and Spelthorne promote the wellbeing of older people by providing a variety of services, activities and practical support for the residents of Runnymede and Spelthorne.

Following a period of change, the organisation is now looking to expand and improve the services it provides, and as part of this ongoing work is seeking to increase the number of Trustees on the Board. Board members are fully indemnified with liability limited to £1.

Age UK R&S Trustees are responsible for the governance of the charity and company, monitoring finances, measuring risk and working strategically, ensuring adherence to the charitable aims.

There are usually six Board meetings a year, with a limited amount of work between meetings.

Previous experience as Trustee is not required. If you have knowledge in any of the following areas it would be most welcome, although not a pre-requisite; marketing, social care, health professional, HR, legal. Above all else though should be a desire to support older people.
