Chobham.net celebrates 10th Birthday

The village of Chobham has been online for ten years! The community website www.chobham.net was launched in 1999. And in those ten years it has grown to provide many different facilities for members of the village.

When the website was first launched, this is what it looked like. It already had facilities for villagers to post messages and chat amongst themselves, as well as a local business directory and a free email service.

Two years later the website was re-designed to make it easier to navigate, and to fit more information on the front page - allowing visitors to see a summary of the latest village news.

Then last year, in 2008, the village website was re-designed again to allow for extra facilities to be added in.
