Chopin by Candlelight

One of the main concerts at the 2012 Chobham Music Festival featured the pianist Lucy Parham. Lucy is acknowledged as one of Britain's finest pianists. Sha first came to the public attention as the Piano Winner of the 1984 BBC TV Young Musician of the Year, since when she has performed extensively throughout the world. Her solo programmes devoted to individual composers have proved to be immensely successful, notably her programme entitled ‘Nocturne’, The Romantic Life of Frederic Chopin

The candlelit concert had a great turnout, and Lucy Parham performed a richly varied selection of Chopin's solo piano pieces including Ballades 3 and 4, Nocturnes, Waltzes and Mazurkas.
